Are your pilots certified and insured to operate in Nanaimo?

Yes. All flights are operated by Transport Canada-certified pilots holding Advanced Operations certificates, backed by full commercial liability insurance to safely fly across Vancouver Island, including near local airspace zones.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Usually 2 to 5 days. While we can often handle quick-turnaround requests, booking ahead gives us time to monitor weather windows and secure any required air traffic control approvals for restricted zones.

What happens if the weather is bad on our scheduled day?

We reschedule at no extra cost. Safety and visual quality are our top priorities—if high winds, heavy rain, or low fog make flying unsafe or unusable, we’ll move your shoot to the next clear weather window.

How long does a typical drone shoot take on-site?

About 30 to 60 minutes for standard real estate or small event shoots. Larger site progress tracking, 2D/3D mapping, or extensive commercial properties typically take 1 to 3 hours.

What format and quality will my deliverables be in?

You get high-resolution 4K photos and video (as well as GeoTIFF/CAD formats for mapping clients) delivered straight to your inbox via a private, easy-to-download cloud link within 24 to 48 hours.

Do I need to be on-site during the flight?

Nope! As long as we have clear site access and your shoot notes ahead of time, we can handle everything independently and send you the completed files remotely.
